Dr Sarah Sivers

£0.00

Sarah has worked as a Child, Community and Educational Psychologist for over 11 years and she has had the pleasure of working with children and young people with additional needs, their families and staff supporting them for over 20 years.  Sarah has her own business, called Liminal Space Psychology Service, through which she works therapeutically using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Informed Approaches and Solution-Focused psychology.

Sarah believes it is vitally important to include and involve the children and young people she works with and for; to do with rather than do to. This is why Sarah has engaged in pupil views research over a number of years, with colleagues, to explore children and young peoples’ views and experiences and to use what they have shared to generate discussions and create change. It is through this work that Sarah had the pleasure of connecting with Fran and Ellie at Square Peg. Sarah contributed a chapter, about the pupil views research, to the Square Peg book with her colleague Dr Maddi Poppoola and she has co-written other book chapters and journal articles. Sarah, Maddi and a colleague are about to start writing a book focusing on their pupil views work and the future of education. Sarah is excited to continue to work in collaboration with Square Peg.

Sarah enjoys being innovative in her work, learning new skills and collaborating with others in a range of projects; these include the EP Reach-Out webinar series; the Power Threat Meaning Framework special interest group, plus work with Square Peg and other organisations to work towards equitable outcomes for all children and young people.
